GARDEN AND INTERIOR SPACES OF INDUSTRIAL BUILDING
The landscape architecture proposal for the industrial facilities of PAPASTRATOS in Aspropirgos, focuses on the aesthetic enhancement and environmental improvement of the interior and exterior spaces of the building, housing the company’s offices and restaurant. The project includes the redesign of the garden in front of the building and the installation of vertical gardens within the restaurant areas.
The garden has been designed to serve as an extension of the building, providing a relaxation area for employees. The exterior garden features rich plantings of Mediterranean species and design elements that create small clearings where employees can take breaks, rest, and enjoy the tranquility of the natural landscape.
The vertical gardens were designed to create a green and welcoming environment where employees can enjoy their meals, in a space that combines natural elements with functionality. Special attention was given to selecting indoor plants that are resilient and suitable for this specific application. The result is a series of vertical gardens covering a large portion of the restaurant’s walls, complemented by hanging planters that add color and vibrancy to the space. Additionally, the inclusion of vertical gardens contributes to reducing the building’s energy footprint, enhancing insulation, and improving microclimatic conditions.
Overall, this approach strengthens the connection between the building’s interior and exterior spaces, offering a cohesive, green environment that promotes well-being and productivity.
