GARDEN AT KIFISSIA, ATTICA
The garden is located at Kifissia, in Attica and it is structured in three levels, with various land uses. The aim of the landscape architecture study was to shape the relief of the garden in an effort to harmoniously connect the levels with each other. The garden design was based on the degree of privacy of the various spatial units, taking into account the microclimatic conditions of the area.
The landscape design, took into consideration the relationship with the interior of the house and the surroundings. The minimalist approach comes in harmony with the style of the facade of the house and its interior layout. A single plum tree is planted in the second level of the garden, functioning as a landmark. The third part of the garden is submerged in relation to the road. A synthetic turf, was placed, for play and minimum maintenance.
Green roofs of extensive types were costructed on the verandas of the bedrooms. Aromatic plants (lavender, thyme, rosemary, louiza) and herbaceous plants (gaura, salvia, fescue, vines) were suggested. For the main entrance and the outer fence of the house, bamboo and Equisetum sp were proposed. The proposed lighting is discreet and in line with the new planting.
During the implementation of the landscape architecture study, a master plan, planting, irrigation, lighting drawings and construction details were composed.
